CrossFit Katomba is part of the global Stretch Therapy™ community! Stretch Therapy™ is a comprehensive system that includes stretching, fascial remodeling, strengthening, neural re-patterning, and relaxation. Applications of the ST approach span rehabilitation of specific physical problems, through development of more efficient alignment and movement patterns, all the way to improvement of elite athletic performance. Everyone will find themselves somewhere on this continuum! Mobilise Stretch and Power Stretch are conducted as regular classes at CrossFit, run by certified Stretch Therapy™ teacher Helen Ilich. Mobilise Stretch | 60 mins

Classes are focused on joint mobilisation, spinal movements and stretching to loosen up, improve range of motion and move with ease, based on the Stretch Therapy™ system, including solo and partner stretches. Suitable to all levels of participants seeking muscular release. Participants without any exercise experience are welcome.

Power Stretch | 90 mins

Classes include joint mobilisation, a variety of whole body stretches, including solo and partner exercises based on the Stretch Therapy™ system, in order to release muscle tension and increase range of motion by engaging in some powerful stretching techniques. Suitable for participants with some movement or exercise experience.

Hybrid Stretch | 60 mins (not currently available)

Classes include joint mobilisation and a variety of whole body stretches, to enhance range of motion, based on the Stretch Therapy™ system. This class also incorporates specific quadruped stretches and flows for flexibility, strengthening the joints and to intensely challenge the core. Suitable for participants with some movement or exercise experience.

Kettlebell Workout  | 30 mins

Kettlebell training involves functional, whole body fitness: a fun, varied and versatile way to combine an entire body strength and cardiovascular workout in a short period of time. Kettlebells teach movement that is better, stronger, and safer. Kettlebell exercise is highly efficient and is holistically beneficial to fitness and wellbeing, including mobility, stability and strength which are all required for flexibility!  Participants without any exercise experience are welcome.

Animal Flow

Helen is an Animal Flow® practitioner and enjoys training in body-weight exercise and quadruped locomotion for the intense challenge and opportunity for fluidity and freedom these skill-based movements present to the mind and body.

Stretch Therapy 

Fitness, strength, flexibility and movement are fundamental to Helen's current vocation. After discovering the brilliant Stretch Therapy™ flexibility training system in 2014, she gained Stretch Teacher qualifications to teach stretch classes for joint mobilisation for wellbeing through to powerful stretching for athletic performance.
